Why Pair It

Roman Seville Underground, Modern Seville on Top

The Setas de Sevilla, officially the Metropol Parasol, is the huge wooden canopy on Plaza de la Encarnación, 250 metres north of the Lebrija Palace along Calle Cuna. On top is a curving walkway with views over the old town to the Giralda.

Underneath is the Antiquarium, where Roman streets and houses found during the construction are displayed in situ, mosaics included. After Lebrija, it is the natural second stop: the Countess carried her floors from Itálica; here they were simply left where they were found.

The official ticket includes an online audio guide in eight languages, the short 'Feeling Sevilla' immersive film, the walkways and viewpoint, the Antiquarium, and the 'Aurora' light show after dark. It stays valid for two days from first use.

When to go

Sunset is the obvious time and the busiest. A good plan: Lebrija in the late afternoon (outside summer), then up the Setas as the light drops. The ticket's two-day validity lets you come back at night for the light show.

Honest Advice

Who This Is For

Book it if:

You want views over Seville and a modern contrast to the palaces. You are already on Calle Cuna. You want flexible timing (2-day validity).

Consider something else if:

You are afraid of heights or short of time: the Antiquarium alone is the Roman part, and the views are the main reason to buy this ticket.
